Bank Nizwa participated in the 9th Annual International Conference organized by the Muscat Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Held under the patronage of HE Said bin Saleh Al Kiyumi, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the prestigious event discussed the theme ‘Sustainability Through Diversification’. A delegation from Bank Nizwa, led by CEO Khalid Al Kayed was on hand to share their insights and industry expertise with other financial experts from around the world during two days of interactive panel discussions and debates.
As part of its drive to promote human development in the Sultanate, Bank Nizwa has announced its support for the Special Olympics Oman Association’s team, which will participate in the upcoming Special Olympics World Winter Games 2017 in Austria. Inspiring hope, confidence and courage, the bank is empowering four Omani athletes to join their counterparts from 107 countries for one of the world’s largest sports events.
Receiving more than 300 entries from across the Sultanate, Bank Nizwa recently celebrated the conclusion of its ‘Bank Nizwa Quran Recitation Competition’. Organized by the bank on its Instagram account, the unique contest invited children under 13 years of age to record themselves reciting Quran for a chance to win a prize. The winners of the competition were each honored with visits from Bank Nizwa’s branch managers to the winner’s schools including Wilayat Manah, Wilayat Dhank, Wilayat Al Mudhaibi and Birkat al Mouz village, who presented them with their prizes.
Bank Nizwa, in partnership with Islamic Finance News (IFN) successfully concluded the second ‘Islamic Finance News Forum’. Attracting an array of key-players in the sector, the highly regarded Forum is one of Oman’s pre-eminent Islamic Finance events. Three members of the Bank Nizwa Management Team engaged in the day’s intense, extensive and productive discussions and deliberations.
Uniting leading Islamic finance experts and regulators for the second year running, Bank Nizwa is partnering with Islamic Finance News (IFN) for the 2017 IFN Oman Forum. Set to be held at the Grand Millennium Muscat on March 7th 2017, the event will include a number of highly interactive panel discussions and presentations detailing opportunities for growth within the sector. The event’s return to Oman reflects the bank’s growing role in driving growth and cooperation within the Islamic finance.
