Bank Nizwa, recently welcomed a student delegation from the National University of Singapore to its headquarters in Muscat, providing them with insights on the evolving Islamic banking industry in the Sultanate.
As part of their Islamic finance knowledge program, Bank Nizwa, Takaful Oman Insurance, and Al Kawthar fund organized their latest workshop in Sohar to highlight the promising and sustainable business opportunities available to entrepreneurs and Small and Medium sized Enterprises in the sphere of the Islamic finance sector.
Expanding the reach of Islamic banking in the Sultanate, Bank Nizwa opened its 12th branch in Oman in Al Ma’abela to further drive the sector’s rapid growth and penetration across the country. Officially inaugurated under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Ibrahim bin Yahya Al Rawahi, Wali of Seeb, the latest addition to the bank’s growing retail network offers a convenient point of sale for the greater Al Ma’abela community and Muscat Governorate to access a full-range of Shari’a-compliant banking solutions for individuals and businesses.
Bank Nizwa sponsored and participated in the 8th International Conference on Islamic Banking and Finance held under the auspices of Sheikh Nasser bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the State’s Financial and Administrative Audit Institution.
